Here's some MMOs I've played in beta recently that I just couldn't find any enjoyment in. Is it me? Am I expecting too much these days? Something must be wrong with me if I'm picking up one new MMO only to become quickly underwhelmed then jumping straight into another:
Maybe if I were a gamer in my teens or 20's, I might feel like all these new games were fresh and exciting. It's quite possible that I've somehow peaked with my expectations. Maybe I'm just too impatient. Perhaps I should go back to pen and paper RPGs?
*beta app submitted*
I'm REALLY hoping that AoC is more than just lopping off heads coupled with gratuitous T&A...
Now leaving the station "the I hate blizzard train" choo choo.
lol
Yes, I so loathe anything Blizzard. It's totally apparent by the two whole semi-negative posts I just made. ![]()
Calm down, fanboy.
lol...just finished watching the cinematic trailer. I love the LoTR Balrog rip-off:

Dunno, for some reason this news leaves me cold...
Might be it's because too much time has passed from D2... or maybe it's my bitterness over the drug-pusher ethic they've perfected in WoW...
It's kinda meh for me really. There are other games out there that I'm looking forward to... original concepts with huge resources backing them up to ensure they get appropriate polish. If Diablo 3 were announced 2-3 years ago I'd burst with excitement but now I think I'll pass.
Grinding mobs for gear is soo last tuesday. A step back from WoW really.
Agreed, totally.
A blast from the past and that's about it. There's nothing new to the game (even the fixed camera angle is identical!), aside from the updated graphics.
C'mon, Blizzard...eight years since D2 and this is the best you could come up with?

I did run DX9 high settings whatever this is (I didnt check in detail, DX10 not available). Gfx were smooth enough for me (30+ fps), some hickups, some texture loading (or whatever) when entering levels/ rooms.
Insane.
I'm the kind of player that makes a character and then gets a black screen. Fun times, I tell ya.
Do you think that Cryptic Studios is the 'bay area developer' that holds the rights to make the Star Trek MMO?
