I think you are off-target on the phrase I high-lighted above. I'd expect at least as many European players as those from the U.S. It wouldn't surprise me if the European player-base for this game was much larger than the U.S.
From Alexa:
Darkfallonline.com users come from these countries:
United States 53.6%
Canada 8.5%
United Kingdom 4.6%
Germany 4.6%
Australia 4.2%
This product (if it expects to succeed) will have to compete and prevail or at least hold it's own in the United States against games like WoW and War and all others.
Whats the other 24.5% of people? aliens? who knows!? 53.6+8.5+4.6+4.6+4.2 doesn't = 100% ![]()
But seriously economic climate doesn't really mean much to a specific online game, generally I'd expect a slight decrease in the number of subscribers, but a good percent of people that do subscribe to mmorpgs aren't going to be directly effected by the economic climate as they aren't usually working but off ill indefinalty, I know that a lot of subs will come from people that do work but I'd be suprised if the number of workers is greater than non workers in regards to subscribers. Personally I wouldn't say its the the worst the economic climate has ever been, as there isn't mass job loss and mass depression but maybe I look into the clouds to much, just wish americas economy couldn't effect englands but for some reason it effects the world...
It didn't because CM made it die, they didn't have gm's, bots were everywhere, hacking everywhere and well that and no updates for over a year = death to a great game. I'm glad I'm still playing it :P I can't say where I'm playing but there are servers out there with updates and gm's ![]()
I was on a med/med server and at rank 20 I didn't want to get to 21 as i knew there wasn't many up that fair, and it took a week to get to t2, so didn't know how long it would be before they got to t3, so the game got boring as i coouldn't play it lol.
Started a new char on a different server and the fun is all back again :D
I love the game, and for the real info, it was called Rising Force Online in Korean Beta then renamed to RF Online when it was released.
The game is a great game, I've not been able to stop playing it, even with War etc, I still go back to this game.
I can't see how you can ever be stuck at level 34 for a year, as I solo'ed to level 40 quite easily as a Bell in like a week if that. The game has the best community spirit I've ever seen, the nicest people play to be honest, I've made some good friends, one of the only mmorpgs I can say I have. It requires groups towards that big 50 make, and thats where you really make friends.
I must say though the best way to play this game, if you hate grinding, is to play on a private server, it cuts out the grind and makes the game more fun, also the private servers are ahead of CM's server by 1 or 2 updates now.
I'm not a hater nor fanboi or any other stupid forum name that got invented to label people, but I must say, where is the proof? Anyone actually in the Beta? Anyone seen any real game video's, not edited, aka fraps straight from the video with all the hud showing and everything? Anyone know anyone playing the beta for that matter?
I dunno maybe I'm just a skeptic, I just don't see how one guy says beta starts today and everyone is like woot! at last! this game rocks! When there isn't much to back up the statement.
