You have yet to play the game, but you say it will suck. I have played the game since Aug 2007 the game will not suck.

I dislike these types of comments. All MMO's I have played have immature people who shout globally racist comments, sexual innuendo or just swear like a sailor. It is fair to say that a percentage of the MMO-community is this way, and it just more OBVIOUS in a game like WoW due to high subscriptions. If you're the only player in a zone in Vanguard then yea, obviously there is not going to be any bad language in the zone unless you're the one doing it!!!
I guess you haven't played Vanguard in the past two months. Go the Vanguard official forums and see what a good community it has. If you ask a question you don't get yell at for being a noob. You get the answer you are looking for.
The in game global chat is always full of questions and answers. People don't say stupid jokes or yell at other players. I have yet to see a stupid Chuck Norris jokes, racist comments, sexual innuendo, or people swearing like a sailor.

I just came back for my free month and I can't stop playing. If you and your family want a good challenge Vanguard is a good choice. If you are looking for a little bit of a easier game LoTR is a good choice.
Also in Vanguard there is a option for a brotherhood. The brotherhood allows you to join with multi people and any time you get experience it splits it with those people. So if you have a limited amount of computers everyone levels at the same speed.
1. DAoC
2. Vanguard
3. WAR
4. EQ

Smith,
If you are looking for a guild to help out and answer questions look at Safe Haven. I joined this guild on the free month and was level 20ish. I'm now 27 and have done so many great quest because they told me where to go. A good guild can make or break this game in my eyes.
As for general chat I try to answer questions that I can, but at times I do see the bad comments. The few can ruin it for the masses. Try not to let the few ruin the game for you. Look me up in game if you need anything. Scorchzhin - Serdon - 27 Druid.
