I quit AoC because my entire raiding guild pretty much vanished, tried WAR for a week and thought it was jut far to shallow to keep my interest so my buddy said he was going back to EQ2 and I followed. Thank the MMO gods that I did. I am loving my return to this game and all it has to offer. Yes the PVP may lack for some but the sheer amount of PVE things to do in EQ2 are incredible.
I love working on all of my Lore & Legends, language, heritage, heroic, signature, and collectoin quests. YES I LIKE SHINYS !! I also love the housing. Call me a geek but for some reason I love setting up my home and gather as many collectibles and or crafted items for it. Its just another thing to work on when you do not have a ton of time to invest in raiding or a dungeon crawl.
Clearly one of the best things about my return to EQ2 has been thee player base/community. A great majority of the people are helpful, they congratulate other guilds when they advance, and that certain air of teen age wit and or lack of it does not over whelm the chat.

I played the game from launch for the first two months, I had fun but ultimately I realized I was looking for something more sandbox style and the constant crashing of zones didn't help much. But I still had some fun, and in no way totally hate this game. My question is this: Is the game really dying? I would be some what saddened to think that AoC is actually going to die so soon after launch, it did have some decent features, and from the 10 hours or so I've played of WaR, I would say AoC is the supieror product if FC can fix the bugs? So what's the scoop guys are there lots of empty servers now, or is this just fanboi trollism at it's best?
Been playing since launch (except for 4 days of WAR) and have played almost every day.
Is it dying? No its not dying, but it has lost numerous players and is in need of a server merge or char transfers for some servers. There are some servers that are quite full so it all depends on where you play.
As for the bugs, their last patch has fixed numerous issues that I personaly had. Villas are now fantastic zones for me (before this patch I would only get 4-5 FPS) and I am now seeing 20-25 FPS. They seemed to fix a good deal of the memory leaks and knock on wood I have only had one lag spike in the past three days. I have a 8800gt and play on high settings and I am getting about 40-60 fps.

Ahh so blame the pc for AoC but not WAR.. classic. All MMOs have issues and guess what they always will.
Yeah, but AoC's issues are numerous and really, really bad. WAR's issues are minute. WAR's gameplay is so superior to AoC is not even remotely funny.
Ok what issues in AoC are really really bad?
Also please explain how WAR's gameplay is so far superior to AoC's. And lets try to keep this as a discussion and not just a rant or flame war. I am really interested in your thoughts and valid points.

Stupid attack moves? So you do not believe a combo system is better then just button mashing the same thing over and over?
What are/were your major problems with AoC? Can you then compare the two games and how you think WAR is better?
combo is the same after a while, and yes, AoC as issues, like, what did they promised, and what did they add into the game....these are some issues, and after all, i can imagine this computer playing AoC 1680x1050 full graphics and its OK, but i cant imagine my brother playing with 20 guys on his range AoC even on low.
WAR is balanced, AoC isnt.

Which console would you like to see MMOs released for?
