• • Will anyone ever compete with WoW?

  • WoW is a cultural phenomenon. People who aren't even into video games know what WoW is, but all other mmos are enigmas to the general public.

• • Why WAR is "different" to some and "the same" to others...

  • I saw my brother play it for about an hour. When I was watching him, I got the feeling of WoW, not EQ2, not daoc, not lotro, swg, eve or age of conan but specifically world of warcraft. Therefore I think WAR is a wow clone, and I really don't give a shit if you think I am wrong.

    Your a very bad troll , WaR has very little it needs to fix it is a very solid game at launch , which wow was not , its launch was much worse than WaR's. Dont try to compare 4 year old wow to WaR, compare wow at launch to war at launch and WaR blow's wow away , compared to when wow launched and now WaR is still better .

     

    of course you compare WAR to current day WoW, that's the direct competitor. To compare it against the launch version of WoW is about as valid as using the model T as the main comparison for new cars.

  • i put a lot of pvpers into the care bear catergory because a lot of pvpers aren't willing to risk losing something when they die.

    I also wonder if I am the only person who is annoyed when games advertise themselves by displaying pre-rendered video rather than gameplay?  Any game that won't show me actual game footage in commercial material rings my alarm bells pretty hard.

     

    this annoys me too and it always stuck me odd as how this isn't considered false advertising.
