That's not the case in LOTRO, only the humanoid types do.
And in SoTNW, no one drops money. But what i find funny is they drop food. Particularly amusing are the skeletons that drop beef.
I don't think they look terrible, but they look somewhat plastic-y like action figures, which seems out of place compared to the more realistic looking landscape
Here's a pic of my character

I dunno. Honestly, I think this isn't an "economic" crisis, so much as a "financial" one. Basically banks who made bad loans and people who have a lot of investments are being hurt the most.
The same was actually true in 1929, where it was the reaction to the stock market crash that caused the depression, not so much the crash itself.
It's actually quite possible the average person will benefit. The price of gasoline has dropped dramatically. And that will lower prices on most things as well (since shipping has driven prices of those things up).
Unfortunately though, it seems like most of the content is just designed to suck money from player's wallet, not add to the game.
For instance, the pets are just bots (they collect stuff for you, so you can AFK and still get loot). But they need to be fed with cash shop items.
The new socketing system for items also seems to need a lot of cash shop stuff.
At first the premiums looked to be a good deal, but thanks to complaints from the people who spend $100s a month on the game, all the cheap packages per month have been nerfed so they are almost pointless.
And it doesn't really address the whole lack of end game content issue. There aren't enough raids, even in a small-ish player population there aren't enough to go around.
I do like the game, but it really does seem to be solely focused on those that spend a ton of money in the cash shop. Even just spending a little money is futile compared to big spenders, because you miss out on a lot of the facets of the game.
A shotgun.
Would you rather see a game release pushed back a year or have the game release witha few bugs that will be fixed?
