in my opinion, PQs are over-done and handfed to us via opengroups. theres no fun in that after a while. i miss the atmosphere of a LFG community. the biggest things about a LFG environment is 1)feeling apart of a large and active community-whether your social or not. and 2) advertisment of zones and instances u might never learn about otherwise. u know, like; "LFG gunbad 22+" -well, what the hell is gunbad? turns out its a cool instance in the badlands with 25+-champs where u can group up into a typical team and kick hardcore ass. "wow! sweet lets go there, where is it? ohya cool OMW i can help!" *sigh*
i kinda feel like a leaf floating around looking for a place to land in WaR. every1 is running around from PQ to PQ doing their own thing....its kinda, boring.
another thing thats dearly missed in WaR is collecting mats that can be found in the world aka herbalist or mining. nothing like the sweet rush of finding a rare black lotus. (yaya, "wow, go back to it" whatever)
wheres the subtle things like that? that keep u busy when your not killing. where are the felwood corrupted songflowers or whipper root tubers that i can gather? nothing like claiming an area to farm mats like that while defending from enemy players! damnit i want to fish and even pick flowers. (yaya again "go back to wow", listen to what i'm saying and what war might be missing to make it an overall attractive and addicting game for the average population. wow obviously got it right, so why not compare)
wheres stuff like that in the environment that u can interact with beside mobs to kill or pqs to join without even asking. pvp i love in war, except the waiting for hours on end to get into a scenario. tho, overall the pvp in war does not feel like rvr. its nothing like DAoC to me. maybe once most ppl hit lvl40 things will change.
ideas? comments? retards trying to sound smart and important by saying my opinion is wrong?
am i missing something in WaR?
See, that's the way MMOs are evolving into nowadays. I'm pretty sure we won't see a game like EQ1 again where there was practically no way to solo past level 10 unless you were uber twinked or a class that could solo things. But even then, your progression was small compared to being in a full group (group exp bonus). Now, games are designed for the player to be self-sufficient, you can be any class and log on for 20 minutes and just kills things without too much of a problem. There is little or no down-time in between battles, and the battles are fairly short. This has it's goods and bads. I mean, it's obvious that this kind of system ruins player-to-player interactions and allows one to go through the whole game without even having to use the chat system. For some people, it's great, because it means they can play this game casually, and not have to log on to wait for 20 minutes for a group, then maybe travel a long time, etc.
About the crafting. Yeah, I haven't tried it, but I heard that it sucks. If it's really important to you...then either quit and play something else (EQ1, WoW, Wurm Online, etc) or wait until Mythic implements a more attractive system.
Well, my advice would be to try joining a Guild. Maybe look up some forums and take a look at new guilds forming. That'll definitely allow you to do more "community"-like things. And another thing I found is that people aren't actually that anti-social. Because I went into a PQ yesterday and nobody was chatting. Then I started up by asking the people there if they wanted to form a group, then things started going from there. You can try to be the conversation starter.
Good luck, and see you in-game![]()

Ahh i might have actually noticed this. i thought it was my pc slowing down because i had a virus scan running at the same time to be honest but i could have been wrong. Also i have thinking about it i have noticed sometimes when i root, the mob follows me and i keep swinging my sword at him because i presume root failed, only to find the mobs suddenly pops back when root wears of and i havent been hitting him, also i have wasted my root which normally turns the battle.
Could this be down to the same problem?
yes..im sure you noticed when you pull mob.. you can see mob hititng you but hes not at you yet.. then he just ports.. this is rare tho.. and doesnt concern me as melee class.. dunno about casters
Always happens to me, quite often actually. I think the servers are a little laggy. It's not my connection - at least I don't think. Even chat has a 1s delay almost.

Happens to me occasionaly as well. Not so much 'ruining pvp' though. Minor annoyancy at best. Though I can understand if this happens all the time to someone it would be a biggie.
What class do you play? I'm thinking probably a class that doesn't get affected a lot by the PvP lag, just like the RunePriest I'm playing, I see the PvP lag/bugs but I'm not affected by it cause I just run around all over the place. But he's a SwordDancer that relies on a good imagine of his targets since he has to tank/melee dps. I understand where the OP is coming from, and I hope the combat system will be opitmized in some later update.

Cute post.
But grats on first time PvP =). I'm sure you'll find PvP > PvE in this game. I just can't believe you never PvPd in WoW either, haha. To me, based on my personal experience and the experiences of 90% of my friends who play MMOs, once we tried PvP for the first time, we never went back to PvE unless we had to. It's not like we don't have fun leveling up together or what not, but PvP just gives you the adrenaline that PvE doesn't. I guess that's why I'd like to try sky diving and other extreme sports. ![]()

Regards.
Only one way to find out, try. Just go to the American site and try to create an account. I don't see why it wouldn't work, because how would you be able to get a hold of an American version of the game over there @ EU? Good luck and see you ingame :).
