    • 2 Things I hate about WAR - Respawn times and resetting Champions/Heroes
    • I have to agree with the respawn time, often in caves or when trying to get to a mob thats behind a group of mobs the quick respawn will end up killing you.

2 other things that annoy me...

      1) 2 NPCs can be face to face and seemingly engaged in conversation and you can kill one of them while the other stands there still talking to the one your killing...this is dumbing down the game a step to far.

      2) at night in some zones I cant see anything at all except when you come upon a mob, often get stuck on things like fences rocks and trees and dont even know it, I have adjusted gamma and brightness on my Desk top to the point that everything looks washed out on explorer but still to dark in game.

I will say I enjoy the game and will be playing for awhile but those are 3 things I wish would change.

      WAR (Warhammer Online)
    • I'm saddened, Cryptic has failed us.
    • I gotta agree with scalebane here, being dissapointed in a game that we know very little about is a bit silly IMO.

As far as skill...its going to be an RPG not FPS...combat has to be based off of character skill as it should be, a small amount of twitch factor similar to WoW , WAR and a few others is ok.

As a ST fan for many years, pesonally I cant wait for this game, but I will not get my expectations up, one thing I have learned in life that has helped alot , don't expect anything and you will never be dissappointed.

    • Review of war after one month
    • "I could name at least 7 other MMOs out there that have better PvE BY FAR than WAR... but I won't... because they are common knowledge to anyone who's open-minded enough to stick their head out of their little game-shell and actually do some research before they act as if they know something on a matter they are discussing."

Please explain to me what makes the PvE in these games so much better, I have played most US MMos that have came out since EQ which I got for christmas of 99, right now I have WAR, WoW and Vanguard on my comp and turned on. All 3 have the same types of quests, all 3 you hit auto attack then various other buttons for styles or whatever the game calls them, all the same thing anyway.

I would really like to know what is so different, some mobs cast ,some melee some to a combination of both, some fight to the death some run when low on health etc , same in all the games I have played. Please tell me what I am missing here that makes WAR so bad in PvE...maybe the mobs in WoW do some kinda song and dance that I just cant get them to do? In LoTRO female mobs to a strip tease? what. what is it???

      WAR (Warhammer Online)
    • Beginning of the End?
    • I think it clicked just fine and the sooner the WoW kiddies who came here wanting WoW with slightly different graphics go back to WoW the better off we will all be.

I know most of them have left ,but some still linger, espeicially on forums where they spew more and more of thier crap, so the rest of us can't find a place to gather usefull info.

      WAR (Warhammer Online)
    • Why is it that Blizzard must steal ideas from other games to be successful?
    • Regardless of what anyone else has said, and it is a good ,fun game but  WoW  and the people who otherwise wouldnt have anything to do with MMoRPGS that it has brought in to the genre are bad for the future of the genre and its community. The OP is correct.

It has nothing to do with releasing games not quite finished...if you have half a brain then you would realize the amount of money is needed and how complex these games truely are and you would know that no mmorpg can be released perfect and finished(for  you that were not there, WoW was far from perfect at release itself, and it still has its bugs and server problems), but becuase of WoW and all the noobs it has brought in that are of average intelligence or less any new game that comes out is immediatle trashed on any and all boards these people can find, becuase they have no concept of reality when it comes to game development.

But truth falls on deaf ears far to often.
