Star Trek Online players who were looking forward to the 3D printed version of their favorite ship will be disappointed to hear that the company that had been contracted to complete the models will be closing at the end of the month, hence no ship model. The announcement about the unique ship models was revealed about three months ago but in the intervening months, Eucl3d, the company responsible for printing duties, ran into business issues and will be closing.

According to Executive Producer Steve Ricossa:

The entire development team has been looking forward to getting their ships printed just as much as many of you in the community, and having this program end before it was able to truly spin up is very unfortunate. 3D ship printing has been a feature we’ve wanted to get into the game for years, and we will continue to keep an eye out for opportunities to bring it to the game in the future.
